Dr. Kris Beasley Leventhal recently spent some time in Honduras.
Here is a note from here:
As I told you in my recent note, I couldn't attend (the Miss
Tennessee pageant) because of a medical mission trip.
I was going on to an orphanage in Honduras. Our trip was
"life-changing". I cared for at least 100 to 150 patients
a day in a little clinic they have there. I am enclosing a couple
of photos. God was so good and we were able to
save at least two small children who were close to death. I was
so blessed to have been a part of such a powerful event.
Please keep me posted on Miss Tennessee news and any plans for a
reunion luncheon next year. I would do my very best to
attend in 2006! Thank you for working to reunite some of the
former Miss Tennessees. It's something I wish had been started
many years ago!
Best wishes to you all and to Tara Burns. She certainly has an
extraordinary year ahead of her.
Sincerely,
Kris Beasley Leventhal

The
Miss Tennessee Reunion luncheon was a wonderful success. 15
Miss Tennessees were available
to speak at the luncheon and several notes from others that
could not attend. We are very excited
that we were able to tap into our heritage and look forward to
growing that relationship. We anticipate
more events in the future and hope that you will be able to
participate. The luncheon not only raised
over $3,000 in scholarships but it initiated relationships that
will continue to grow.
